The World Championships Experience

16 Jan 2010 | Alex Antonios

The World Championships Experience How much motivation do I seriously need to take a free $2000 trip to the most prestige gaming event in Yu-Gi-Oh…? To start this article off I want to get you all into my frame of mind before leaving for Japan. Firstly, I hadn’t picked up a deck after nationals, which was over 8 weeks prior to worlds… in fact I had played in 2 events this entire year. Secondly, I had no interest in travelling 10 hours to get to Japan for the purpose of playing in a 24... more

Basic Card Presence and Advantage

21 Dec 2009 | Nick Butcher

Card presence refers to the total number of cards a player has in his hand, and on the field combined. At the beginning of a Duel when you draw your sixth card, your total card presence is six. Why you shouldn’t play Anti Meta

17 Dec 2009 | Nick Butcher

This article will be covering why Anti Meta is a bad choice for a deck. Things such as why you draw dead with many of the hands. Going in-depth with the most popular builds of Anti Meta this format. Why Anti Meta is unable to control games due to “Solemn Judgment” being restricted. One way of knowing if Anti Meta is a bad choice for a deck, is that there is no draw power included into the deck. Another reason is that they have to play 3 copies of cards like “Royal Oppression” the... more

Stardust Overdrive Review

Shonen Jump Trends

18 Sep 2008 | Daniel Backwards

Off Shonen jump Baltimore, there are many lessons that can be leant. Some are obvious, some not so much. There are many trends that can be found by looking at the top 16 lists. I will be examining these trends. 1. D.D. Crow The crow has practically jumped from a necessary card in many decks to staple. In Baltimore a whole 12 Decks mained 2, with another maining one! The Syncro Stopper

24 Sep 2008 | David Bisho

Hello everyone, well we’re now a few weeks into the new format and already we have seen a good mixture of different decks been played by various duelists. However Glads still seem to be at the top, Tele DAD is not far behind and in my opinion will eventually take the crown from Glads. In recent weeks we have also seen the arrival of some of the most devastating monsters our game has seen since the Chaos days. By these I mean the arrival of the Syncros!! In particular there are 2 or 3 syncros... more
