The deck doesn't attack to win (although it could... but 4x knight of reliquary probably isnt enough for that), so having the extra birds able to block a flier is probably more relevant to have.
Good article, and definitely an interesting deck. I'm surprised that ppl would get worked up over getting milled... it's not like it's not a proper win condition, lol. -------------------- |

its a 75 card copy of Kyle Sanchez's list, so I can't really speak for card choices. In my experience tho, birds are actually less likely to get turn 1 bolted than Heirarchs, and they do block flying, which is sometimes relevant :)
I think it also has something to do with his plans to add black to the deck for worldly counsel, voices from the void and grim discovery.. but I don't really like that idea personally. -------------------- |

worldly counsel could be ok to help find archive traps, but voices of the void doesn't really fit what the deck is trying to do... and grim discovery seems a bit narrow and generally just not needed.
