The deck doesn't attack to win (although it could... but 4x knight of reliquary probably isnt enough for that), so having the extra birds able to block a flier is probably more relevant to have.

Good article, and definitely an interesting deck. I'm surprised that ppl would get worked up over getting milled... it's not like it's not a proper win condition, lol.

its a 75 card copy of Kyle Sanchez's list, so I can't really speak for card choices. In my experience tho, birds are actually less likely to get turn 1 bolted than Heirarchs, and they do block flying, which is sometimes relevant :)

I think it also has something to do with his plans to add black to the deck for worldly counsel, voices from the void and grim discovery.. but I don't really like that idea personally.

worldly counsel could be ok to help find archive traps, but voices of the void doesn't really fit what the deck is trying to do... and grim discovery seems a bit narrow and generally just not needed.
