Bazaar trader can't give your opponent Illusions.

Although I am not a casual player I do enjoy EDH now and again and I can get behind this article. Amusing and worth reading

You can use Bazaar Trader to pull off most of the old Donate shenanigans. Like Bazaar Trader + Mindslaver + Ashnod's Coupon + artifact tapper (like Icy Manipulator).

Nice article, I enjoyed the pictures in it as well as the EDH section.

Btw probably a more relevant combo with quest of the goblin lord is siege-gang commander, since they're both in standard (as i'm sure u wont see the quest + mogg war marshal in extended), but of course if u're just making a casual deck u can just use both! I'm sure anyone would like a siege-gang's army all bonesplittered up :)

This is the right link: http://community.goodgames.com.au/articles...---waking-days/

BTW Tempest74 is the editor and manager of the website not me.

Edit: My favourite combo for this competition should be Bazaar Trader + Glacial Chasm (with counters) + Mindslaver!

How is Bazaar Trader and Glacial Chasm a combo? If they want to attack they will just choose not to pay the upkeep.

My bad. Did not add the Mindslaver. In the article he mentioned the combo of Mindslaver and Bazaar Trader and Glacial Chasm just came to my mind and I just typed it straight away, leaving out one of the key cards. Guess that's what happens when you haven't slept for over 30 hours.

He wants to mindslaver and donate a glacial chasm, then pay a massive upkeep and kill the other guy.

Seems worse than wall of blood, since you wont be able to pay a cumulative upkeep that puts you on below 0

I loved your article, it seemed really professional and probably better than some SCG stuff. EDH is my favourite format outside Type 2 and incorporating any part of that is pure win. Zur, Rofellos, Arcum are really only as bad as group I think. It's like the way Erayo and Azami attract the wrong attention in most smart playgroups.

At GP Oakland I went in a 4 man EDH pod and I was only one not from their group, so it was Rofellos v Scion of the Ur Dragon v Intet, the Dreamer v Savra (me). Rofellos is obviously nuts so what does the Intet guy do when he has removal on turn 4? He blasts Savra and not Rofellos and no Damnation is close. It was a waste of $10 as he went infi after sundering titaning us twice :(.

For Bazar Trader, the obvious if BT + Immortal Coil (Mike Turian was even playing that at Gun Slinging table)
Maybe also:

BT+ Phyrexian Negator+ Burn - Maybe one time, but could do alot.
BT+ Fruitcake Elemental - He can do it anyway, but why not for free?
BT+ Steel Golem - No more creatures unless they kill him.
BT+ Grafted Skullcap - Regular discard.
