I gather that Underworld Games may have closed down, is this true? If so, that's really bad news. I always thought there was a good number of people down there playing Legacy, and I don't think that the format needed to lose a store that supported it so strongly. Bummer...
So where are all of the Underworld blokes playing now? -------------------- |

Yes, Todd closed his doors the week before last. The store had been gutted within a day or two - all stock and store fittings gone, giant 'for lease' sign in the window - so it is safe to assume this is a permanent thing.
There certainly was a strong Legacy following at Underworld. At this stage, the only other store catering to Magic in Ipswich is an obscure hobby shop that has hastily expanded their offerings to include Magic sealed product and weekly tournaments. My impression is that the only reason they have done this is to pick up the business of the local players who now have no other options available to them (other than travelling to Brisbane). I have not visited this new establishment, nor do I intend to. -------------------- ![]() |

That's really bad news. Underworld was the only place left to play Legacy in Brisbane, as far as I am aware (correct me if I'm wrong). Wicked Games, then Maverick Cards, now Underworld Games... maybe we should be moving to Sydney for Good Games Legacy tournaments?
I'm travelling down to Brisbane the week after next, and I was hoping to sling some cards in some sort of Legacy tournament. Is there anything else going on around Brisbane of that sort? -------------------- |

Apparently a new store is opening in Ipswich to take up the slack. They were planning to run something last night, I'm sure that they'd love to pick up former Underworld customers

Definitely interested in the details of the new store, as a lot of my old friends frequented Underworld, looking to find the new spot.

It is bad news for Magic in QLD. We would love to have a Good Games in Brisbane so if you know anyone that would be interested let us know.
